It is the new year! And as I see everyone around me set goals and resolutions, I noticed that the new year seems to bring on a sense of self that we do not allow in our daily practice. As the ball drops and the countdown ends, it almost feels like we have hit a reset button that allows us to magnify our goals, reflect, and think big about the year ahead. We make goals to be healthier, improve relationships, or travel more. It’s a time to reflect on what a sense of time (the year) means to us.
There are many podcasts addressing new years resolutions. How to set achievable ones? How to maintain them? But I thought for our next club meeting we look at resetting in a different way. Let’s look at a way to re-ground ourselves with what are some basic human needs. This podcast does that. And I think once we all reset with the basics of what it is to serve, what it is to love, and what it means to see the world with a higher consciousness, I felt a sense of simplicity and gratitude that helped me set some more realistic, meaningful, and permanent goals.
